Fuck You (An Ode To No One)

I find that when I am unbelievably angry, expressing myself through music is really the only way i can do without implicating myself too much.  Hopefully there is something for everyone, if you have spotify you can get the playlist here, or follow the youtube links on the track listing below!

Anal Cunt – You Were Too Ugly to Rape, So I Beat the Shit Out of You*
Anal Cunt – I Made Your Kid Get AIDS So You Could Watch It Die*

1. Break Stuff - Limp Bizket

Wow, this song is so cheesy when I look back now, but I recall it being my go to song of anger when i was about 14 even though I wasn't a huge limp bizket fan.  I remember when my boyfriend at the time cheated on me with some American girl he found whilst getting trashed in Camden.  It was his birthday and I couldn't get hold of him.  I bought him a drop kick Murphy's CD and a razor.  I went to an all day hardcore gig to see my friends band all night drive play (some people in this band are now in gallows we would never have imagined this at the time).  My boyfriend comes in with this girl and starts kissing her, i am sick and my mum and dad come and get me and my friends.  To make me feel better my mum put this on full blast in the car journey from Hatfield to my house.

2. Hey Fuck You - Beastie Boys

This album is easily my favourite Beasties album.  It is seriously underrated,  the lyrics are well thought out and more mature than some of the earlier albums, and not as silly or quirky like hello nasty.  Lyrics from this song like "put a quarter in your arse because you played yourself" is pure ghetto dissing hilarity which reminds me of things me and my friends would say to each other and "if you don't like it then hey fuck you" sums up everything I want to say to people and often do.

3.  Imagine - A Perfect Circle

A dramatic take on the classic John Lennon song.  The orchestral sinister music and Maynard James Keenan's voice eerily portraying the imagine of the world that it could become, puts an not an entirely different spin on the song and its meaning but makes you think about its real meaning listening to the lyrics in a different way.  Tool and APC have always done a good angry fuck you song.

4. An Army of Me - Björk

If any of you complain once more,  you will meet an army of me.... Björk is so fucking wicked although seriously pretentious, i would not fuck with that fierce bitch.  This song has this angry building up synthesiser working its way up, tormenting and portray pure malice that go perfectly hand in hand with the threatening lyrics

5. Gutless - Hole

I used to hate Courtney Love, as I thought she had killed Kurt Cobain when I was about 12.  Then I heard this album and everything changed.   There are loads of songs on this album I could have chosen but this one is perfect,  I hate gutless people and although I am a mega super nasty bitch, I wouldn't say anything that I wouldn't say to someones face.  "You can try to suck me dry But there's nothing left to suck, Just you try to hold me down ,Come on, try to shut me up" A great grungey song with thrashy grungey guitars about calling someone out on being a snake in the grass.

6. Intolerance - Tool

Tool are just pure anger.  I would have liked to picked Ænima but that is really reflecting hate on Hollywood celebrities.  Always made me laugh that Tool won a grammy for that song, a huge hollywood event, for a song that wished that California would blow up and fall off.  I thought Americans didn't get irony.  This song really picks up on something I suffer with.  Intolerance.  I am so short tempered and really hate injustice and cannot tolerate idiots, people with no opinions, people who lie, or cheat, and people with terrible grammar and spelling.  Anyway this song is awesome angry or happy or sad.

7.  I Fucking Hate You - Godsmack

Named after an Alice in Chains song, this band are just nu metal personified.  The song is just a lot of nu metal heavy guitar riffs and I fucking hate you semi screamed at through a microphone.  Lovely for venting out the anger.

8.  Thoughtless - KoRn

KoRn are my mums favourite band.  I have actually gone to see them with her.  My mum isn't one of those tattooed silver jewellery wearing slightly pagan wears a lot of velvet type mum, she wears skinny jeans and ugg boots, but she loves music and my sister and myself liked KoRN when we were younger and she liked what she heard.  My mum was awesome when we were teenagers as she could still really empathise with the angst we were going through.  KoRnBungle's first album then KoRn's first album you can see how they have managed this.  This song is easily the most angsty song I have on here, but thats ok, everyone feels a bit angsty when they are mad.  My mum used to use KoRn lyrics and apply them to life and life's lessons to help me and my sister get over jealous bitches and boys and school and bullies.  My best one was "in the sea of life you're just a minnow."

9, 10, 11, 12 ,You Were Too Ugly to Rape, So I Beat the Shit Out of You/I Made Your Kid Get AIDS So You Could Watch It Die/Youre A Fucking Cunt/You Cant Shut Up - Anal Cunt

These kind of explain themselves.  I would recommend looking up more anal cunt songs if you like a laugh and think any of the above are amusing.

13.  Fuck you (and ode to no one) - Smashing Pumpkins

This is also a good driving song.  An eloquent song that is clearly very personal song about someone who should get fucked.  "scratch my face with anvil hands, and coil my tongue around a bumblebee mouth and I give it all back to you" Billy Corgan gets shoutier and screamier and repeats himself in this amazing violent outburst ended by guitars screeching and making the most ear piecing sounds.  The second part of Mellon Colley and the infinite sadness album is all very angry and an amazing piece of music.

14.  Oh Well - Fiona Apple

I don't really know too much about this song, its fantastic though.  Really angry, I would say about a break up, but the lyrics "But don't ask me what I think of you I might not give the answer that you want me to" are utterly amazing."

15. Shit List - L7

L7 were my favourite riot grrl band, and being a bit young to watch natural born killers I heard this song on Bricks are Heavy before I saw it on the film.  The scene is awesome where this song is used.  Basically if you are on Donita Sparks shit list i would be fucking scared, a lot of bricks are heavy is angry songs about people "people like you just fuel my fire" but this one is really stands out.

16. Platypus (I hate you) - Green Day

Really just the bit where billy joe armstrong says  "Dickhead, Fuckface, cock smoking, mother fucking, asshole, dirty twat, waste of semen, I hope you die`" and "I'd like to strangle you
And watch your eyes bulge right out of your skull When you go down Head first into the ground I'll stand above you just to piss on your grave" that is some hatred right there.

17.  Fat Slut - Tori Amos

Just because everyone knows a fat slut.
